Trevor Walters has poured many years of his life into maritime operations. With a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years as a SAMSA-approved surveyor and accredited Skippers License facilitator and examiner, his love for boating and fishing has fueled his desire to expand SKIPPERS SA far beyond just providing skipper training courses and surveys.
At the start of 2021, as the grip of the Covid lockdown began to ease, his wife Juani embraced the opportunity to attain her Maritime Long Range Radio Operators certification, which led to the birth of mRc as a natural extension of Skippers SA's services. It was an intense journey, but by August 2021, the Maritime Radio Certification Training Centre received the green light and was certified as a SAMSA Accredited VHF Radio Operators training facility.
As regulations regarding Maritime radio underwent changes, mRc was prepared to step up and offer boat operators support and training to successfully obtain their VHF Short Range Operators tickets.

VHF Operators Tickets
As a boat operator of a cat D, C, B, or A vessel, you are required to obtain a VHF DSC Short Range operator's license. We are here to assist you in an informative, informal, and interactive manner. Let us help you secure your license swiftly and efficiently!
Time is precious during the week, which is why our courses are conveniently held on weekends. Our small class sizes, with a maximum of 4 students per group, create a personalized and relaxed learning environment that makes the process less stressful.
